New Year, New Workshops

We have a great selection of Workshops  to start off the New Year.

Sea Glass Mosaic  4th January

Starting the year with another Sea Glass workshop from Fiona Marston, Artisan Jewellery maker. This time she is planning a Sea Glass Mosaic workshop

You will be able to mosaic a mirror, make a picture or a set of coasters. 

Fiona will be bringing everything with her so you can just relax and enjoy a day of crafting after the hectic Christmas and New Year period. Photograph to follow

Learn to Crochet 11th Jan and 13th Jan - FULLY BOOKED

Anne Henderson is running 2 Learn to Crochet Workshops at the beginning of January. The first is on Saturday 11th January and the second is on Monday 13th January. These workshops are aimed at complete novices so if you've never picked up a crochet hook before don't worry about it. 

Places are limited to 5 as this ensures that you get plenty of help along the way.

You will need a 4mm crochet hook but these can be purchased on the day. Everything  else if provided.

Introduction to Black Work Embroidery Saturday  25th Jan

Gillian Passman will be starting the year off off with  2 embroidery workshops, Black Work Embroidery and an introduction to Kantha Embroidery.

On the Black Work Embroidery workshop you will learn the basic stitches used in this beautiful technique and stitch a small sampler.

Kantha Embroidery Monday 24th Feb

Kantha Embroidery is a traditional Indian Embroidery technique. On this workshop you will be stitching a small picture as an  introduction to this wonderful type of embroidery

Both workshops are suitable for beginners and the more advanced 'stitchers'. alike. Everything will be provided by Gillian to get you started with both of these lovely techniques.

Intermediate Crochet 

Following on from the basic crochet  workshop we have 2 further crochet workshops.  The ever popular Attic 24 Blooming Flower Cushion which will be worked in a Stylecraft Batik Swirl and by popular demand  Stylecraft's  Crochet Flower Blanket in Stylecraft Bellissima DK.

Blooming flower Cushion  Saturday 8th Feb

The Blooming Flower Cushion is worked in the round using a combination of Trebles & Double Crochet stitches. The yarn and pattern are included in the cost of the workshop, but you will need  a 4mm crochet hook which can be purchased on the day.

Stylecraft Flower Blanket Saturday  15th Feb

The Stylecraft Crocheted Flower Blanket is made up of motifs which are then crocheted together. The workshop will cover making at least 4 motifs and how to crochet them together. Yarn and the pattern will be provided and if you decide to carry on and make the blanket there is a 10% discount on the yarn required.

 Applique Collage Saturday  1st Feb

 Sara will be running her first workshop with us on Saturday 8th February. Come along and make a hand stitched collage with her. She will be providing all of the materials required to create a stunning decorative piece of work which can then be framed.
